Summary:


Our client is an accredited private post-secondary institute undergoing strong growth and needing a dynamic person to join their team and teach in the Networking Security Specialist program.

Main Job Related Duties and Responsibilities:


1. Teaching (primary duty) which includes instructing in at least two or more of the following areas:



  • Basic PC computing architecture, Network fundamentals

  • Windows XP/Vista/7, Server 2003/2008, Active Directory and enterprise networking

  • Security+, Clustering, VBScript, PowerShell

  • Unix/Linux (Basic to Advanced level and hybrid networks)

  • Cisco Router Administration (CCNA Level), Exchange 2007/2010

  • Security based courses (Encryption, PKI Architecture and design, Penetration testing, Ethical hacking and Forensic investigation, concepts to the CEH/CISSP level)


2. Classroom administration which includes:



  • preparation for teaching

  • marking of student coursework and other materials

  • attend meetings etc.


3. Technical administration which includes:



  • Windows 2008 network administration

  • Troubleshoot problems and provide day to day support for network.

  • Configure, implement and maintain firewalls (NetGear, PFSense etc)

  • Install server/workstations Operating Systems in a VLAN environment.


Education and Experience Required:



General - for teaching all courses:



  • It is essential that you have a minimum of two years of network security industry experience;

  • Experience implementing and/or developing PKI architectures, encryption policies, and general security architecture;

  • Previous teaching experience is an asset;

  • A certification such as CEH/CISSP is an asset.


Specific Experience for teaching Cisco Router Administration parts of the course:



  • You must demonstrate Cisco Router knowledge, preferably at a CCNA/CCNP Level


Specific Experience required to teach the Linux parts of the course:



  • You must have strong Unix/Linux experience (any distribution), preferably at a LPIC-2 or RHCE level


Specific Experience required to teach the Windows part of the course:



  • You must have MCSE/MCITP 2003/2008 experience with Security
