Key Responsibilities:

Research and development:

o Design new components for the water park industry to meet marketing requirements
o Work as a member of the design team to build creative solutions to technical challenges
o Track progress on new products, to ensure they are on time & budget as set out by Management
o Assemble prototypes, define & perform functional & performance testing

Documentation:

o Create Fabrication drawings of Component Assemblies, Sub Assemblies, & Parts
o Modify/Revise existing drawings to ensure the Accuracy of the Data & Improve Designs
o Liaise with Fabrication, Sub Trades & Vendors
o Create/Maintain Specification Drawings for Components
o Create/Maintain Installation Drawings for Components
o Create/Maintain for Part & Engineering Masters in MRP/ERP system

General knowledge requirement:

o Remain Current with applicable Safety Standards
o Familiar with Fabrication/Production working procedures
o Familiar with quality systems and procedures

Technical Skill Requirement:

Education:
Mechanical engineering or technologist (or related discipline)

Experience:
o 5 years of work experience in design engineering field
o Understanding of steel fabrication methods
o General understanding of water distribution systems
o General knowledge of Electrical systems
o Understanding of analysis techniques used in Mechanical Design

Software:
o Autodesk Inventor(3D) or equivalent Software
o AutoCad (2D) or equivalent
o Understanding of ERP/MRP Systems (Specifically Visual)
o Microsoft Office Suite
