Test driven development is a practice that has become common in our industry. There is an abundance of good material out there for learning the basics. This seminar will look at moving beyond the "How do I get started" and into the patterns and practices that make unit testing succesful over the long run. Scott will be sharing concepts and techniques that he has learned from 7 years of Unit Testing. With a focus on how to write better tests that can be maintained for the life of the project.
Who should attend
The target audience is experienced developers who have already been introduced to unit testing. But there will be something there for everyone including developers just getting started with TDD and non-developers looking at getting insight into TDD.
About the presenter
Scott has been working as a Java/.NET Developer for 7 years. He has a variety of experience working on projects for companies such as ThoughtWorks, Suncor and Petro Canada.
This is the second time he will be sharing his interest in Agile development with the Software Interest Group. If you enjoyed his first presentation on Agile Software Tools you will find value in this presentation too.
